Unez_rdr's Ki27 of the 1st Chutai

This is a Nakajima Ki27, markings of the 1st Chutai in China. While the 77th Sentai was the most persistant opponent of the American Volunteer Group (Flying Tigers), the 1st also took part in the Burma operation during 41/42.

My appreciation to Captain Kurt, who developed the 3DZ wireframe. His original readme is below. Thank you to everyone who continues to give their time and effort to improve European Air War!

Nakajima Ki-27 "Nate" 77th Sentai - Headquarters Chutai - shot down by the AVG Dec. 25th near Toungoo, Burma.

The Ki-27 Nate was the standard Japanese Army Air Force fighter from 1937 through the beginning of WWII. It was heavily involved in combat in China, and in the Nomonhan "Incident" in 1938, fighting the Soviet Union in Manchuria. It was slated for replacement by the Nakajima Ki-43 Oscar by the beginning of WWII, but few Ki-43s were in service when the war began. As a result, the Ki-27 Nate saw extensive operational use during the first year of the war.

I developed this model from the PAW1942 Val 3dz wire frame. It has an adapted Zero cockpit by Claudio Wilches with a wing view skin by myself.

For use with Charles Gunst's ECA (Enemy Coast Ahead) Panel in the ME109E slot. To install, just unzip the *.TPC and *.3DZ files into your EAW directory.

The .PCX files for this aircraft are included if you'd like to try your hand at changing them and adding your own markings.

Have fun,

Captain Kurt
